5 Vegan Travel Tips

Whether you’re travelling by plane, train, boat or bus, if food is provided on your journey, make sure you state your dietary needs when you book.

It’s a good idea to take some food or snacks like homemade flapjacks, dried fruits, nuts, ready-made popcorn, rice crackers, cookies, crackers etc. for your journey as well as when you arrive.

Learning local phrases will help you to communicate what you can and cannot eat.

Supermarkets in most cities (but not all) will have vegan basics like non-dairy milk and of course, you’ll always be able to find fresh fruit and vegetables.

Learn which words mean milk, honey, or whey protein so you can check the labels when grocery shopping.

Don’t forget to check sites like www.HappyCow.net, to find vegan-friendly restaurants, cafes and shops.
