Retinopathy: (diabetic eye disease) a group of eye conditions that can affect people with diabetes; affects blood vessels in the light-sensitive tissue called the retina that lines the back of the eye.
Neuropathy: nerve damage caused by long-term high blood sugar levels.
Nephropathy: type of progressive kidney disease that may occur in people who have diabetes. Persistently high blood sugar or blood pressure levels may cause the kidney to be unable to filter blood.
